Madison Central School District Mission Statement

To educate all students to fully achieve their personal and academic potential as lifelong learners skilled in communication, problem solving, and global responsibility.

When I look at the mission statement of the district, I begin to wonder why we stop at students. I think that it is important that teachers and staff remain lifelong learners, so that we can help the students achieve their full potential.

But also when you look at the last part of the mission statement "skilled in communication, problem solving, and global responsibility", it is obvious that we are looking at a 21st Century Learner, who in return needs a 21st Century Teacher and learning environment.
